Critics of LIFE and Orrin Woodward
Buffoons and naysayers of both LIFE
and Orrin Woodward continue to belly ache, blame and carry on about how LIFE how
they failed to become successful, how it’s Orrin’s fault that they didn’t
achieve X or Y. Listen, though it’s a worn maxim it’s still true: You’re either
part of the problem or part of the solution…pick a side. Blame is for failures
and the childish; choosing to accept personal responsibility and fix problems
is the mark of self-actualized adult.
If you’ll indulge me, I
want to share two personal examples:
Example 1: In junior high
school I was tested by The Man; told I had several learning disabilities,
labeled a Special Ed kid and subsequently put into a small and unused classroom
and forgotten. I spent most of junior high school and all of my high school
days in special education classes.
I could have blamed,
could have accepted what the Man was telling me, that I was a marginal, second
classed, and that the Man would have to take care of me.
But, I didn’t do that.
I worked at it, developed systems of success, pushed, fought and climbed my way
up. After years of persistence and hard work I was accepted into a prestigious
private university, became the chapter vice president of an exclusive national honors
fraternity and after a few years received a Master of Science degree in of all
things Special Education!
Could I have accepted
defeat? Yes.
Could I have blamed my
school system for failing me? Yes.
Could I have even
blamed my parents for bad genetics? Yes.
I could have chosen to blame exterior forces for my
personal shortcomings, accepted complacency, accepted mediocrity; however, I
chose to do something with my life and, as Robert Frost wrote, ‘that made all
the difference.’
(Parenthetically, after
graduation I mailed a nice color copy of my Masters degree in Special Education
back to my high school’s Special Ed department with a letter encouraging them
to never give up on any kid!)
Now, critics of LIFE
and Orrin Woodward, I ask you…are your criticisms helping people become better
or, tearing down?
The Great Lie: An
easy, comfortable life without having to earn it
Example 2: I wasn’t
born into wealth. I’m from a lower middle-class, blue collar family. My father
ran away from home at 16 and joined the military; his father left home at 13
and moved away to farm. Neither man had an easy life.
I attended high school
in an area with huge financial disparities. We literally had kids who drove
Ferraris and Porches to school while the families of other kids families were
generational welfare recipients.
My father wanted the
best for his family and worked hard to provide for us by working all the
overtime he could get to give us a better life. He taught me that the easy,
comfortable life is a factor of work. He drilled into our heads that education
was the gateway to lasting success; school wasn’t just one of our options, it
WAS THE OPTION. Success comes to those who pay the price of education; he knew
it and taught us well.
Both LIFE and Orrin
Woodward will quickly correct those who mistakenly believe the rubbish spewed
forth by pyramid schemes; that success is easy and comes quick.
If you’re not really
willing to work, experience hard aches, take rejection and still keep moving,
then listen to the critics and give up; they’re right…you won’t be successful.
Remember, the LIFE Business
is for those who earnestly seek a better life, are interested in the strenuous
process of personal growth, are driven to succeed in significant ways, and are
committed to a life of excellence for a higher purpose.
LIFE and Orrin Woodward
teach that freedom is a gift and LIFE supports your freedom to choose to be a
winner, lose or leave the LIFE business. We live in a democracy where you can
vote with both your feet and your wallet.
Critics will always
fail to realize that those who’ve chosen to join LIFE each used their divinely
appointed ability to make a choice and joined the LIFE Business and aligned themselves
with great leaders. Neither Orrin nor the leaders of LIFE coerce them into
joining; they made the conscious choice to become a leader.
Choosing To Join The LIFE Business
So back to you the readers-both the critics of LIFE and Orrin Woodward and more especially those seeking to know if joining LIFE; ask yourself these two simple yet powerful life changing questions:
- Am I open minded?
- Am I ready to work for success, and understand that comes at a cost and
are willing to pay it?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ then you’re ready for
LIFE.
